A glimpse into her life
A post graduate in Textiles, a research associate with the handloom board for natural dyeing & printing, Masters in Psychology Sociology and Art & Painting, Master's in Management;
Ms Castelino became a lecturer at the age of 18 and has been pursuing different careers simultaneously- one as a consulting social Psychologist, as an educationist in the field of Art, Design and Fashion Technology, as a Corporate Trainer & one as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Consultant for Corporates & NGOs. She has been designing & developing curriculums in Fashion & related careers for the past two decades and, has been on various educational board;s Universities. She has taught History of Indian costume and textiles in Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. She was the Fashion Editor of lifestyle magazine- ‘btw’- by the way, published by Chitralekha group and has gained a lot of popularity with her column 'Fashion-Passion' in Loksatta-VIVA. She also writes on various career options in Loksatta’s Career Vruttant . She is one of the founders of the renowned Kala Ghoda Art Festival & is a member of the Board of Kala Ghoda Association, & has successfully curated various Art Festivals in India. She has won 9 National awards, 4 State awards and 5 International awards in Art & Design and her name is included in 1997 in the International Biographic Research foundation’s Directory of ‘Who’s who of the most distinguished personalities in the world’. Ms Castelino has won the Maharashtra State Hirkani Award in 2008, has been bestowed with National Positivity Award in 2011, Woman Achiever Award in 2013. Mrs Castelino was the CEO of a renowned charitable Trust in Rural Maharashtra heading twenty three Institutes along with other charitable institutes, guiding to climb the ladder of success to greater heights. She has been counseling to motivate the Maharashtra Police Training Academies as well as a positive force for the Farmers & their families guiding them to different arenas of social & sustainable livelihood besides farming.
Today, besides being associated with other professional positions with a vast experience, she has been a successful car rally driver for the past two decades & an inspiration to the global youth.
